Vanke Sales pavilion is designed to lead 2 lives, first as a sales centre for Vanke Plaza Fuzhou – a new residential and shopping neighbourhood, currently under construction in the centre of Fuzhou city. In a second reincarnation it transforms itself into a community centre with children’s nursery, serving the community it currently promotes.

The pavilion is embedded in a garden landscape, wrapped in a translucent glass scarf facade. A pattern etched onto the facade echoes that found on garden screen walls created by former artisans in the locality.
