Status: Under Construction

The game of basketball has captured the imagination of the youth of China, and taken hold like no other sport. The vision for Zhoushan Sports Stadium is to reinvent it as a community attraction. Given a new lease of life, the venue is greatly enhanced for the local team fans, and becomes a fitting venue to host national league games.

Alongside the interior upgrade, the venue will house a range of new support facilities. A new mezzanine, programmed with community sports centre, restaurant, retail, café & bar, is wrapped inside a new ‘Chandelier Skin’ draped around the perimeter, and connected by an outdoor viewing terrace, opening up the venue for the first time to overlook the wonderful park landscape in which it is set.
